NC: Sex offenders should be formally banned from NC State Fair, agriculture official says

Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler’s department says the state needs tougher laws banning registered sex offenders from the N.C. State Fair.

Sex offenders were arrested around the State Fairgrounds twice during last year’s fair. A Raleigh man was charged with flying a drone over the fair, and a convicted child molester was charged with posing as a state ride inspector to get into an area reserved for children’s rides. Full Article

Oh no not two arrests during the state fair! Everyone run away from the epidemic of sex offenders around the state fair. Seriously though how many arrests were there for intoxication, theft, or other things during the fair? Banning an entire group of people based on fear probably won’t stand up to legal challenges.

As far as I care, State Fair and county fairs all should be banned. They are over price junk yards, greasy near rotten food and a bunch of drunks and stoners. The carnival rides are accidents with a place to happen. Any parent that allows their kids run loosely at these places are opening doors to bigger problems than 1 or 2 RC.
